Police Vehicle Killed 2 children In Osun

Yesterday in Ilesa, Osun State a policeman driving an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) allegedly Ran ran into an electric pole along Egbeidi Street and killed two siblings of the same parent.

The withnesses after getting to the root of the situation leading to the untimely death of the kids were disappointed, this made the angry mob to unleashed terror on the ‘A’ Division Police Station at Ayeso and vandalised all the operational vehicles parked in the station including other valuable property and police quarters inside the station.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mrs. Folasade Odoro, after confirming the incident. She appealed to the residents of Ilesa to remain calm, assuring that the matter would be investigated. She added that the errant policeman would be brought to justice.

She described the incident as a case of accident, saying that the errant policeman explained that police officer driving the APC car lost control and hit an electric pole which eventually electrocuted the kids.

Describing the incident as unfortunate, Odoro said that all operational vehicles in the station, private cars and police quarters were vandalised by the angry mob.

She therefore appealed to the residents of Ilesa to remain calm, assuring that the matter would be investigated. She added that the errant policeman would be brought to justice.
