A young boy who came visiting from Charlotte, North Carolina was killed on Friday after been
trapped in the floor of the rotating skyscraper restaurant at the Weston Peach tree Plaza in downtown Atlanta e and he was later identified as Charlie Holt. The Holt family was visiting from Charlotte, N.C.The little boy was just five-year-old. He died on Friday April 14 after having lunch at the popular Sun Dial restaurant, a rotating restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, The restaurant is a very popular tourist attraction site, because it is located at the 70th floor of the building thereby offering a full views of the beautiful city. According to the police, the boy was just five feet away from his parents who were dining at the nearest table, When suddenly he somehow got entangled between the wall and the rotating floor and was crushed by the rotating mechanism. In fact before his parents and the hotel securities could rushed to help him out from the rotating wall it was a bit late, he had already sustained a serious head injuries. Unfortunately he couldn't survive it. He died at the Grady memorial hospital few hours later after he was admitted.

Meanwhile, the staff in the hotel revealed that the restaurant have sensors and the floor is meant to stop automatically if something is caught underneath it, but when this incident happened by the time the sensors could registered the boy’s presence, it was too late for the boy. The restaurant will be closed for the rest of the weekend. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
