Trump fires FBI Director Comey while probing Russia investigation
President Trump has fired the FBI director James Comey yesterday and it has been a big shock and unexpected from the president. When asked if Comey was fired to impede with the Russia investigation, Pence says "that's not what this was about, Comey’s firing wasn’t due to Russia’s probe It was based solely to the best
interest to protect the integrity of the FBI department". Top Senate Judiciary
Democrat lamented that FBI was serious about Russia probe, timing on Comey
"could implicate" administration this lead Trump to fire him infact James
dismissal on the FBI is the mother of them and everyone is in shock.
According to Mr. Trump’s tweets “Crying Chuck Schumer stated recently,
"I do not have confidence in him (James Comey) any longer, then acts so
indignant. The Democrats have said some of the worst things about James Comey,
including the fact that he should be fired, but now they play so sad! James
Comey will be replaced by someone who will do a far better job, bringing back
the spirit and prestige of the FBI. Comey lost the confidence of almost
everyone in Washington, Republican and Democrat alike. When things calm down,
they will be thanking me!”
The president’s decision to fire Director Comey seems to be due to the differences
between the men that intensified in early March, when the president posted
Twitter messages accusing former President Barack Obama for wire tapping his
office. Which later the next morning it was reported that the case should be
waved off as James Comey wanted the
Justice Department to issue a statement saying that he had no evidence to
support the president’s accusation. Meanwhile, the department did not issue
such a statement. A reporter Mr. Spicer had previously indicated that the
president did have real confidence in Mr. Comey, but asked whether recent
revelations about Comey’s during his testimony
on Capitol Hill would change that.
“In light of what you’re telling me, I don’t want to start speaking on
behalf of the president without speaking to him first,” Mr. Spicer said.
After few weeks, Trump still insisted that he was right in his accusations against
Obama. During the FBI testimony later in March, Director Comey said that no
valid evidence was found on the allegation against the formal president so
Trump has no information to back up his allegations.
